We made our way to and spent a few weeks at Winfield (Baffle Creek) doing some fishing.  Caught a few fish and a few crabs and ended up next door to a couple we meet way back at Miara.  Had a great time sharing nightly fires, good conversations and quite a few laughs.  Thanks Mary and Bryan, it was a really enjoyable time.

We are now spending time in all the little towns in the west.  Mornings are a bit chilly, but most days have been quite nice.

There are some amazing hidden treasures in these places.  One was a hand carved train tunnel through the mountains near Gin Gin which you are now able to drive through.  Mind you, I had to get out and open and close about 50 (3) cattle gates to get there!!!  We also stayed at Cracow, which is an old gold mining town.  Some mining is still done, but the town is just a ghost town now.  Really pretty though, on top of a plateau with amazing views.

Isla Gorge near Theodore is really spectacular.  Just a short walk from the car park to some amazing views.  We also did a dirt road trip through to 'Cracow Beach' along Isla Delusional Rd.  Named appropriately!!!!  'Beach' is also a bit delusional.  It is just a sandy area on the banks of the Dawson River.  Surprisingly there were lots of palm trees out in the middle of the bush.

Good old Virgin Rock.  Surprisingly unchanged in the few years since we were there!
