We have spent a week in Casino, a week in Kyogle and now we are back at Murwillumbah awaiting the big birthday party. We have experienced such extremes of weather in just a few weeks. At Casino we had to dig out our jumpers and sit through 4 days of non stop rain, Kyogle we had the aircon running all day, and here a Murwillumbah, aircon flat out with afternoon storms. Weird....
The country around Casino and Kyogle is very pretty. Lovely green fields, cows and horses and lots of lovely little towns in between. It is still quite sad to see these towns slowly dying out. Some closed shops, lots of houses and farms for sale. However, it is good to see the show grounds benefitting from us grey nomads!!!! The dam near Kyogle was really nice, however the campsite is only open on weekends, unfortunately.......
