We spent a week at a lovely little town, Alstonville.  We went to the beach for the day, drove around looking for a car park, couldn't find one, so we went back to the safety and comfort of Alstonville.  Never, never go to the coast during the school holidays at Christmas time.  I have never seen so many people, children, dogs and cars!!!!!!  And they all seem to just wander across the road whenever they want to.

Lismore is a happening town.  We arrived at the showgrounds only to discover that we had been there before!!  And what luck, the circus was across the paddock.  We also found out that it was speedway season so we had free entry to three nights of speedway!!!  And, Lismore also has the biggest shopping centre in the Northern Rivers area.  So much excitement for a little town..........

Alstonville Showgrounds

We are back on the road, but not going to far at the moment.  Our beautiful twin granddaughters turn 1 soon, so we are hanging around for the big event.  We are travelling from showground to showground, killing time.

Murwillumbah Showgrounds is lovely.  Right in the middle of town, with lots to see and do.  Next is Mullumbimbi, with some day trips to the beach, and then on to Lismore, Casino and Kyogle.
