After Stroud, we headed to Dungog, Gresford and then Singleton.  Beautiful countryside and lovely little towns.  The Dungog showgrounds we on the side of a mountain, so that was interesting...  Gresford Showgrounds are beside a river with dairy cattle grazing all around.  Really pretty and relaxing.

Singleton was fun.  The day we arrived a fellow caravanner arrived in a bit of a panic.  Unhitched in a hurry, threw the dog in the van and ran over to us to let us know he was taking his wife to the hospital as she was not well and could we let the caretaker know.  We offered to look after the dog (who was barking in the van).  Long story short, we puppy sat for a week (during the day) and Karen has phenomena and septicemia.  Karen is on the mend and we loved having Scruffy for the week.  He was a very well behaved little man.

We went for a drive to Lake St Clair (Singleton, not Tas) and it was really pretty.  You can camp at the lake, but the caretaker was very rude, and it was quite expensive.  You can drive around the campsite, but if you stop the car they will charge you a fee!!!!  Very nice place though.....

On Saturday we were lucky enough to fluke the Singleton Rodeo.  As we were already at the showground, we got in for free, and didn't have the hassle of finding a park.  It was a fun day and night and luckily for us oldies, it was all over by midnight!!!!

We are now at Nelsons Bay, Port Stephens.  Very pretty place and nice to be back at the coast.  All the caravan parks are now in 'off peak' so cheap deals and the parks are nearly empty!!!!  We will be moving to the other side of the bay next week to Lemon Tree Passage which is right on the river and looks good for fishing!!!
