We spent a week at Jurien Bay.  What a lovely little seaside village.  We did some day trips to Mt Leusur, The Pinnacles and Lake Thetis.  The Pinnacles are just amazing.  Out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by scrub, you suddenly come across a desert with all these rock formations.  At Lake Thetis they have the ancient colonies of living marine stromatolites, supposedly the beginning of life as we know it.  Just looked like dinosaur turds to me......

We then spent a week free camping along the coast at Sandy Point, Green Head and Cliff Head.  Beautiful spots that cater for us grey nomads.  Wayne did a bit of fishing (caught some bait) and I took about 1000 photos of the sun setting over the water.  We have met some lovely people along the way who are doing the same thing we are.  And you wouldn't believe it - at Cliff Head there were 3 Empires!!!  I think I will write to the State Govt and suggest they change the state motto to Western Australia - Land of the Empire.  I will let you know how I get on with that!!!

The WA sunsets are just amazing.

We are now off to Port Denison and Dongara for a few nights, then some more free camping on the beach before we hit Geraldton.

The beginning of life as we know it.
